It was a great day with the “crew” yesterday. I started the day with my normal walk but this time my daughter joined me. Randy’s ankle is still hurting him so he took the day off.
Tarpon Belly Key 12/04/2018
Another gorgeous day in the Keys, even if slightly overcast in the morning. There are several anoles living on or near the palm tree in our yard. This one stayed still long enough that I could get a quick picture. I believe this is a non-native brown anole but i need a better picture to confirm.

After our morning walk we took the boat over to Summerland Key to spend a couple of hours exploring. Summerland is between Ramrod Key and Cudjoe Key. We only saw a few homes that appear to still have damage from Irma. This Key has lots of canals with gorgeous homes and lots of large boats. It even has a small private airport.

- We explored parts of Cudjoe Bay in our boat this morning. We were fortunate to see two manatees right outside our canal. We made sure to give them plenty of room but we stopped to watch them for a few minutes. The one was at least 10′ but the second one was slightly smaller at about 8′. We are only in a 17′ boat so they looked very big in comparison. In the video link below you can see the manatee better than in the picture.
