It’s been a great week with the kids here. I have done nothing in our kitchen since they arrived. Travis has been making breakfast every day (Thank you Travis!), we normally have a quick lunch while we are out and dinner has been at a restaurant every night. The bad part of this is that i have not stuck to my diet at all while they have been here.

It was a great day with the “crew” yesterday. I started the day with my normal walk but this time my daughter joined me. Randy’s ankle is still hurting him so he took the day off.

While the weather was cool and windy, it was the best day because Kat and Ryan joined us in the Keys. I rented the house for them to come and visit as their Christmas present, but it was really a present for myself. Love having my family with me for a few days!

It is a little more than two months since we retired, and one month since we left Westminster, and so far we are loving being in Florida for the winter. Its no wonder there are so many snowbirds. And we are definitely looking forward to additional travels next year. I do miss our friends and family from home, but the warm weather is keeping us busy so we don’t have a chance to think about it too much.
Small Craft Warnings Leaves Time to Decorate 11/29/2018
We have had small craft warnings for the last 2 days. The temperature has dropped down to the 60’s. Not cold but unusual for here. This is the “windy” season. The temp’s should climb back up tomorrow and get back in the 80’s for the weekend.

Traveling like we are means that we will not be with our family on holidays, birthdays, etc. That is the only thing i worry about with our 2 + year travel plans. Even though this year was different on Thanksgiving, I still enjoyed the holiday.

Several years ago we started talking about retirement plans and what we would do. We knew we wanted to travel extensively so we started looking at various motorhomes. Randy liked the truck conversion motorhomes so we finally decided on a ShowHauler. It took us almost a year to finalize our design and for our “Dirt Yacht” to be built.
